Business Advisory Council · Seattle
The council is back, and it is yours to build.
This is not another networking committee. The Business Advisory Council carried its Columbia Tower Club legacy into its new home at Vantage, and it gives members a voice in shaping Seattle's business community.
April Vian chairs it. She chaired the committee at Columbia Tower Club for two years and ran the nights people still bring up. You can do more than attend what gets programmed. You can decide what gets programmed.
Two standards, carried over
Every event teaches something.
And no one leads an event that benefits their own business.
Both came from Columbia Tower Club. The council runs under the Vantage Code of Culture. Lead by giving first.
How a seat works
Six to eight people
Small enough that every seat does something. The council meets monthly and the meetings are virtual, so nobody loses an afternoon to parking.
Vantage provides the room
Planning happens on the Vantage platform. The council brings the ideas and the connections.
Seats are by application
Open to Vantage members. Members apply too, and sign the Code of Culture. It is not a competitive screen, it is how April knows what you want to work on.
Not a member yet
Apply for membership at joinvantage.co/join. It is reviewed on its own, and a council application never promises it.
What the council is building
The ambition, said plainly: make Vantage the center of gravity for business and professional programming in Seattle.
Entrepreneurial Spirits
The legacy night, back. Panelists, a Q and A, a drink in your hand.
Virtual programming
Sessions you can actually attend from your desk. Accessible, useful, no commute.
A speaker series
Virtual sessions through the year with a quarterly in person panel. Names are being confirmed now.
A business forum
Targeted to begin in December. Format and schedule still in development.
What is next
Thursday, November 12
Shoulders of Giants, at its new home in the World Trade Center
Tickets are expected to be available. The council needs two or three volunteers, and a complimentary seat is offered in exchange once the details are confirmed. Say so on the application and April will come back to you.

Two ways in
Apply for a seat, and bring someone who belongs here. Between meetings, the council and everything it programs live in The Vantage Clubhouse on Facebook. Every open event lands there first.
