The Story
Selected 11th overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2003 NFL Draft out of Washington State University. Played his entire 10-season career with Seattle (2003–2012). Career stats: 644 tackles, 112 passes defended, 21 interceptions (7th in franchise history), 2 defensive touchdowns. Named to 2003 All-Rookie Team. 2007 Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection with 7 interceptions and an 84-yard pick-six. Played in Super Bowl XL. Mentored the young Legion of Boom secondary from 2010–2012.

Self-Storage Real Estate
Owner & Operator
Owns and operates multiple self-storage facilities in the Tacoma area, partnering with Extra Space Storage. Sold one facility in 2024 while planning acquisition of two more.

Co-Host
Production company supporting the "Truly Unruly" podcast with wife Jessica, covering marriage, parenting, and relationships. Early launch customer of Official AI, a Seattle-based AI content creation startup.
Trufant Family Foundation
Founder
20+ years providing educational opportunities and scholarships for underrepresented students. Supported by Columbia Tower Club members and community partners. Runs youth football training camps focused on skills, character development, discipline, and leadership.
